The 4 O’Chocolate Wildland Firefighter Project honors fallen wildland firefighters and their families, removes barriers to support, education, training, and opportunity, and advances credible, firefighter-informed solutions that help bring more wildland firefighters home safely.

Our Nonprofit Status

The 4 O’Chocolate Wildland Firefighter Project is a Colorado nonprofit corporation formed on September 18, 2026, and recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

We are committed to responsible stewardship, transparency, and using every contribution to advance our mission of honoring fallen wildland firefighters, supporting their families, and improving the safety and well-being of the wildland fire community.
